Cabot Watch Company (CWC) was founded in 1972 by Ray Mellor to supply watches to the British military and government organisations. It was bought by Silvermans in 1997, and still supplies dive watches to the British military today.
This website is intended to be a blog and resource for collectors of CWC watches; it is very much a work-in-progress, and I welcome suggestions, input, ideas, and contributions of original research on the brand and its watches. Or just send me photos of your CWC watch.
One important disclaimer: collectors have been studying these watches for years, and I have tried to credit others' work and photographs wherever I have used them. But if you feel your work is being used on here uncredited, please do get in touch and I will rectify that.
Another important disclaimer: the community is still learning about all the details of these watches, and much remains unknown - so if you see something on here you think is wrong, please do shoot me a message and let me know your thoughts!
This website is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by CWC - though the chaps at CWC are great guys, and if you are in Mile End in East London you should definitely drop in to Silvermans and say hi.
Cheers
Jonathan
